About the laboratory
PEZOD GREEN LIFE Biomedical Diagnostics Center is a diagnostic laboratory in Awka, Anambra State. We carry out haematology, blood group and genotype, infectious disease screening (including malaria, typhoid, HIV and hepatitis), clinical chemistry, lipid profile, microbiology and hormonal tests.
You can walk in without a doctor's referral, Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm. Home sample collection is also available at an extra cost. Results are reviewed by our laboratory team, and we encourage you to discuss them with your doctor.

Ezeilo Patrick Oscar studied at the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (2002 to 2006), with a histopathology major. His CV lists over a decade of hospital-based laboratory practice, with work in diagnostics, quality control, laboratory operations, staff supervision, training and resource management.

What to expect
- Walk in or message us. Visit Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, or message us on WhatsApp or email first. You do not need a doctor's referral.
- Check preparation. Some tests need fasting or other preparation (see the FAQ below). Contact us to confirm what applies to your test before you come.
- Give your sample. At the laboratory, or at home through our home sample collection service (extra cost).
- Collect your results. Some results are ready the same day. Others take longer, and we tell you the expected time for your test.

What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Can I walk in without an appointment?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours. You can also message us on WhatsApp first if you want to check anything before you come.
Do I need a doctor's referral or request form?
No. You can request a test without a referral. If your doctor has given you a request form, please bring it with you.
Do you offer home sample collection?
Yes. Home sample collection is available at an extra cost. Message us on WhatsApp or call 08033389080 or 08026228800 to arrange it.
How long do results take?
Turnaround times vary depending on the type of test. Some results may be available the same day, while others need more processing time. Please contact us to confirm the expected turnaround time for your test.
Which tests need preparation, such as fasting?
Some tests may need preparation. Fasting is often needed for fasting blood sugar, lipid profile (cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides) and some other chemistry tests. Semen analysis, hormone tests (such as progesterone, LH and FSH, which may depend on timing) and urine, stool or sputum samples can also have special instructions. Please contact PEZOD GREEN LIFE to confirm the exact requirements before your test. Do not stop or change any medication unless a qualified healthcare professional tells you to.
Do you test for malaria and typhoid?
Yes. We offer the malaria parasite (MP) test and the Widal test for typhoid, along with many other tests listed above.
How much does a test cost?
Prices depend on the test. Message us on WhatsApp with the test name, or ask at the front desk, and we will tell you the cost.
